He set out to do so, but eventually decided to help Regan find the island, which the two succeeded in doing. On Day 473 of the invasion, Lee was killed after the family's farm was attacked, sacrificing himself to save Regan and Marcus, leaving Evelyn to raise their children on her own. After the Death Angels invaded Earth, Evelyn's primary obstacles were the physical challenges of pregnancy and preparing for the harsh reality of raising a child in a world where survival required silence.
